What we collect when you request a demo

The demo form asks for your first and last name, your phone number, your work email address, your business name, how you heard about us, and — optionally — what you would like us to show you. We do not collect anything else on that form, and we do not use tracking or advertising cookies anywhere on this site.

If you start filling the form in and leave, your browser keeps what you typed on your own device so you can pick it up where you left off. It is never sent to us until you press Submit, it is cleared the moment you do, and the “Start over” link on the form clears it immediately. It is held for at most seven days, and it is discarded the next time you open the form after that — your browser cannot delete it for us while the page is closed, so we would rather say so than promise a tidy-up that does not happen.

Why we collect it

So that we can contact you about the demo you asked for, and answer questions about whether BIM suits your business. We rely on your request as our lawful basis: you asked us to get in touch, and we use the details only for that. We do not sell your details, and we do not share them with anyone outside our own team.

How long we keep it

We keep demo requests for up to 12 months from the date you send them, then delete them — automatically, not on request. If we become a supplier to you, your details move into your customer record and are kept under that agreement instead.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — at any time, and it costs you nothing. Email us at businessintelligenceplatform@gmail.com and we will action it. If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Signing in

If you have a BIM account, we record the time and network address of each sign-in so that you and we can spot access that was not yours. Your account page shows you the most recent one. We store one cookie to keep you signed in; it is required for the service to work and is not used for tracking.
